  • Anamaria Vecchio

    Anamaria Vecchio

Ana is a fun and outgoing runner, yogi and triathlete. She found yoga when looking for ways to improve her strength, flexibility and mental focus for her other activities. She shortly discovered that yoga offered so much more. Ana says “Yoga has brought me to a place of peace and acceptance I never had before, I finally love myself regardless of my shape and size."

Ana came from humble beginnings in Brazil where her parents instilled in her and her four siblings the importance of physical activities, healthy eating, and contact with nature as well as holistic and homeopathic practices.

Growing up with body dysmorphic disorder, Ana spent much time in her younger years worried about her self-image, bullying herself to a perfection she now knows doesn’t exist. She didn’t understand the mind body connection until she deepened her practice. She is dedicated to inspire others through teaching yoga and with her own transformation showing that anything is possible. Ana is extremely grateful for the opportunity NamaStacy has provided and she is committed to paying it forward.

Working at lululemon athletica of Boca Raton has also helped Ana in her journey of developing her leadership skills and becoming involved with the community. Pursuing inner peace, happiness and self-awareness is what drives her passion for yoga and a positive outlook on life. Ana is a resident of Boca Raton with her husband and two fur babies!

  • Cathy Rosenberg

    Cathy Rosenberg

In 20 years of practicing yoga, it has become clear to Cathy that we practice yoga on the mat and we live it off the mat. Yoga teaches us to make good choices, to honor ourselves and to be okay with wherever we are in the moment. When we combine a strong yoga flow, intentional breath and clear instruction, the body and soul start to feel right.

She believes in teaching a class that makes students strong in mind and body. We will practice asanas that require these skills and you will feel the transformation yoga brings. The flow will inspire and challenge. It will calm and ground. You will smile and find gratitude for your life.

  • Courtney Mitchell

  • Debra Zambrana

    Debra Zambrana

Debra graduated from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton in 1992 with her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting and in 2002 with her Masters of Business Administration and spent many years in her chosen field – Insurance Accounting and Operations. Debra discovered yoga, quite by accident, and has never looked back, leading her to make a change – a HUGE change. After 30 years, she retired from the insurance industry, took a huge leap of faith, and followed her yoga bliss.

Debra has been involved in fitness in some way shape or form since the age of 18 and holds a 2nd degree black belt. After receiving her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in July, 2011, under the guidance of her friend and mentor Leslie Glickman, she hit the ground running and has been teaching full time ever since. In August, 2013, Debra received her 500 hour certification, also under Leslie Glickman. Debra continues to attend workshops and conferences as well as maintaining a regular personal practice with a variety of teachers and styles so that she can continue to bring innovative ideas and perspective to her students.

Debra has a way of keeping it real & fun while maintaining the integrity of the practice. She focuses on breath and movement, recognizing that proper form and alignment are the best way to prevent injury. She blends the physical with the spiritual – advising her students that “yoga will change your life whether you want it to or not!” She knows this first hand.

  • Heather Berg

    Heather Berg

Heather Berg, E-RYT200, is a former Montessori teacher who has been a yoga practitioner since 1990 where, as a college student, she took her first “Intro to Sun Salutations” at NYU. She practiced many yoga traditions over her 20 plus years, but it wasn’t until her yoga training with Leslie Glickman, where she was formally trained in Vinyasa Krama (intelligent sequencing designed with a specific intention) did she find her true calling.

Heather’s passion is to share her enthusiasm of yoga and to create a positive experience for her students. Her mission is to meet the needs of individuals as well as to teach at a deeper level beyond the postures. Heather’s precisely cued invigorating Vinyasa classes focus on cultivating breath and body awareness while her Yin classes relax both the body and mind taking practitioners to a deeper level of sensitivity and stillness, both inside and out.

She is always researching and exploring other respectable yoga teacher trainings and workshops so that she can continue her own growth to bring new concepts to her students. Some of the teachers Heather has practiced and studied with are Elena Brower, Seane Corn, Terri Cooper, Jason Crandell, Kathryn Budig and Joe Barnett.

When asked what she loves about yoga, Heather says, “It’s the perfect opportunity to see who I really am. It brings me home.”

Heather lives in Boca Raton with her husband and two beautiful daughters.

  • Jennifer Cruz

    Jennifer Cruz

Jennifer Cruz, RYT500, has been on and off the mat since college and was initially drawn to the "physical" side of yoga. In 2012, however, she experienced a defining moment in class where she finally saw herself for the first time, unmasked; strengthening a new relationship with herself. The practice of yoga provided a connection to a level of spirituality that she had been searching for. When Jennifer discovered there was much more to yoga than fitness, she instantly wanted to share this with others.

Jennifer’s teaching style is very much like her personality - fun, energetic, and most importantly, encouraging. She loves seeing students progress in their own abilities and to reach a place they didn’t believe was previously possible. Jennifer's intelligent sequencing and hands on approach focuses on each student, making sure they are in proper form and alignment - all while simultaneously flowing to a rockin’ playlist! One of her favorite aspects of yoga is community and cultivating a space where everyone feels welcomed and ultimately connected.

She received her 200HR Vinyasa certification from James Kigar and Judy Weaver. She then combined her two passions, teaching and yoga, to inspire many to see the dynamic workout, work-in and work-through that yoga really is.

About this training

Yoga has been handed down verbally from teacher "guru" to student for thousands of years. Although today we have formal teacher training programs, I still believe in the tradition of mentoring. Because of the guidelines set by the Yoga Alliance most content will be similar from one school to the next. The key is to discover a teacher and course that connects with your true intention. In this program we will explore the energetic and emotional journey of yoga. You will learn anatomy / physiology as it pertains to the yoga practice, intelligent sequencing, asana, alignment, and chakras will be studied in depth. Philosophy, traditions, lifestyle and ethics of yoga will also be addressed. I look forward to sharing this life changing information with you so you can apply it, on and off the mat. I have been teaching yoga since 1995 and my greatest honor is to share it with you! My goal is to have you fall so in love with yoga that it overflows into every aspect of your life. This overflow will inspire you to teach or simply enrich your practice, your life, and the lives of the people you love.

A note from Leslie

Yoga has been handed down verbally from teacher "guru" to student for thousands of years. Although today we have formal teacher training programs I still believe in the tradition of mentoring. You must find a teacher that you want to emulate. Because of the guidelines set by the Yoga Alliance most teacher training programs have similar content. After taking a 200 Hour course the next step is to discover where you want to go with your teaching.
In this program we will explore in detail both human anatomy & physiology as well as energy anatomy and the chakras. Clinical/individual work on asana and alignment to improve your practice and take you to the next level is a priority. As your practice changes and grows you have more experience to teach from. We will address history and philosophy, lifestyle and ethics, class design/sequencing, working with props, injuries as well as touch corrections. I look forward to sharing this life changing information with you so you can apply it... on and off the mat.
I have been teaching yoga since 1995 and my greatest honor is to share it! I believe that the practice of yoga is life changing and has been a tremendous a gift. It is my goal to have you fall so in love with yoga that it overflows into every aspect of your life. This overflow will inspire your teaching or simply enrich your practice, your life and the lives of the people you love.
